Dedan Kimathi Foundation Team participated in a Tree planting exercise that was held at Kimathi primary and Secondary school on 10th September 2022 in Nakuru County. We later went for site visits to Kiamana police station, Lanet police station and Mwariki police station.
In bid of achieving 10% tree cover in Kenya Dedan Kimathi Foundation is always committed to consistent tree planting exercise in Kenya. This tree planting campaigns aims to create awareness and action toward the protection of the environment by addressing environmental issues such as marine pollution, human overpopulation, global warming, sustainable consumption and wildlife crime. In addition, TREES confronts hunger, poverty, and environmental degradation by serving the people at the heart of our global food systems: farmers and their families.
The team planted over 5,000 tree seedlings.
