The demanding fight against climate change calls for immediate tree growing action in the advantage of the ongoing rains. The rains play a vital role in increased survival of trees.

Today, Dedan Kimathi Foundation Children’s home boys among other enthusiastic environmental volunteers led a South Kinangop tree growing series in Kinangop Technical and Vocational College, Sasumua Primary School, Chania, St. Mary’s primary and Heni high school.

The boys are committed to set the pace in environmental conservation for the high schoolers to emulate. In their opinion, they feel the urge to engage a high gear in tree growing as an application of the knowledge they have been accumulating in their respective schools.
