Dedan Kimathi Foundation wish to pass its message of condolences to the family of Amb.Zindzi and the entire South African people, during this darkened time of mourning their heroine. In this connection, our heartfelt message to you all comes from right down our hearts. AMBIZIDZI MANDELA isn’t only celebrated in South Africa but she stands out as a world. Cross freedom fighter icon, whose struggle against apartheid in down south remains major beacon.
Kenyans freedom fighters and those colleagues in Southern part of Africa. The tense and tough struggle against colonialism in these two nations, left major mark in fight against inhumane and unjust treatment the foreigners inflicted to the indigenous blacks. Amb.zindzi ‘s father Nelson Mandela didn’t only serve long term jail sentence, but fought both physically and ideologically while behind the bars. Long walk to freedom Mandela’s world-cross-book, didn’t only receive world intellectual acclaims, but this little made headlines world-over in the media fraternity!
To this regard and on behalf of our heroine mother Mama Mukami Kimathi, our organization once again calls for calm to our brothers and sisters in South Africa, following untimely demise of Nelson Mandela’s daughter. Dedan Kimathi Foundation and the Kenyan people, wish to assure our South African counter parts, that we stand by in this sad moment. Amen and keep strong.
