On 30th and 31st of October 2021, Kenya’s most prolific and widely spoken about freedom icon, Dedan Kimathi’s birthday was marked with both pomp and color and in unique style! The well dated day that had rolled into 31st October will forever remain in the mind eyes, hearts and in the souls of many as we marked 101 years since the hero was born. As Dedan Kimathi foundation swung into action to practice what we know and understand most, tree planting, therefore as a matter of fact more than 25,000 tree seedlings were planted at Sasumwa water catchment area.
