Ladies and gentlemen and all our esteemed brothers and sisters of goodwill, once again I wish to appeal for peace, love and unity as we celebrate Mashujaa Day 2020. This auspicious moment marks the milestone our country have so far covered 60yrs since the colorful inception of our nation Kenya.
To all Kenyans, we have been able to achieve a lot, and together we thank our Lord for giving us right direction. Ladies and gentlemen, sixty years ago, our children hardly had better education, decent healthcare, well built classes, good balanced diet and above all good shelters. Kenya government through the ministry of education has been able to increase school facilities across the country, conduce learning facilities and above all, the number of our universities have increased by reasonable degrees. At least we have made a mark in the education sector. The parliamentary approved CDF fund have fundamentally played central role by ensuring schools construction have been made possible and our children have adequate learning space.
Since independence never had been witnessed money flowing to the villages for developments like in these recent years. The already devolved unit of governance have seen to it that counties have enough money to run their government’s and that people have the final say as far as developments initiatives are concerned. Constitutionally, the law is clear, that it’s the people have the last say on how their money need to be used. Public participation and the formation of local committees have been recommended in order to oversee funds are prudently utilized accordance to the law.
In the same spirit my dear Kenyans, the senior citizens of this country, have been put into consideration by our government, whereby they get stipends to make them survive and and lead decent lives without necessarily bothering their relatives, their children and even friends. They get their money into phases and they benefit a lot.
This achievement is of it’s kind in Africa and again the country boasts itself as one very unique make worldwide. Indeed we have remarkable progress that’s worth pride. Currently the government have restructured youth employment programme, whereby kazi mtaani initiatives have been introduced. Our youth can proudly earn living and been able to clothe themselves. Lord bless our children, our parents, and moreover our parents. Once again we take this opportunity to wish you all a happy Mashujaa Day. To this far we shall move forward as shujaas and make the whole world, identify Kenya as one of the fast glowing economies in Africa.
